Ti Mata Lane Development

Permeable Concrete

The brief for this multi-unit development project was to create a cohesive and functional outdoor space that balanced durability, aesthetics, and sustainability across driveways, carparks, and pedestrian pathways.

For the driveways, a broom finish concrete was chosen for its non-slip surface and cost-effective durability, ensuring safe and reliable vehicle access for residents.

The carparks were constructed using permeable concrete, allowing rainwater to filter through the surface and reducing runoff into the local stormwater system. This eco-friendly solution not only meets environmental compliance standards but also minimizes surface water pooling during heavy rainfall.

To enhance pedestrian pathways, exposed aggregate concrete footpaths were installed. The textured finish not only adds visual appeal but also provides a slip-resistant surface, making it both practical and stylish for residents and visitors.

Coordination across these three concrete finishes required careful scheduling to minimize disruptions and ensure a seamless flow between trades. Attention to detail was paramount, from precise surface leveling to ensuring proper curing times for each finish.

The result is a durable, visually appealing, and environmentally responsible outdoor space that enhances the overall functionality and aesthetic of the development.
