West Harbour Subdivision

2-Lot Subdivision

The brief for this two-lot subdivision project was to create a shared broom finish concrete driveway and vehicle crossing that prioritized durability, functionality, and compliance with local council standards.

The broom finish was chosen for its proven durability, non-slip surface, and low-maintenance qualities, making it ideal for regular vehicle traffic and all-weather conditions. The design included proper grading to ensure efficient water runoff, preventing pooling and minimizing long-term maintenance concerns.

Constructing the vehicle crossing required strict adherence to council specifications, including appropriate alignment with the public roadway and ensuring sufficient reinforcement to handle heavy vehicle loads. Careful coordination was needed to manage transitions between the private driveway and the public infrastructure seamlessly.

Precision was key throughout the excavation, formwork, and pouring stages to maintain consistent levels across both lots. Collaboration with inspectors ensured compliance at every stage, avoiding delays and guaranteeing approval upon completion.

The result is a robust and functional driveway and vehicle crossing that provide safe and reliable access for both properties while enhancing the overall usability and value of the subdivision.
